MOBILE EDITING WITH TRIBE PRESETS

Have you ever wondered how to use your Tribe Archipelago presets & profiles on your mobile device?

We have your back!!! Here we will walk you through the process step by step!

Adobe Lightroom has two desktop apps: Lightroom CC, and Lightroom Classic CC. You are probably using Classic CC for your desktop editing, but in order to use your presets on your mobile device you’ll need to be sure to have added your presets to the Lightroom CC desktop app also.

It is important that you have this app updated, as earlier versions won’t sync presets to mobile devices.  For Adobe Lightroom CC you’ll want to be using version 1.3 or newer.

Within the desktop Lightroom CC app, you’ll need to navigate to the ‘edit’ panel on the right side of the screen.

From here, on the very bottom you’ll see a ‘presets’ button. Once you select the ‘presets’ button, you’ll see the preset tab open, showing you all the presets you have added to the app.

If you don’t see your Tribe Archipelago presets here, you need to import them. To import the presets, select the ‘…’ button in the top right of the preset panel.  This will open a small dialog box, and there you will see ‘import presets’.  Select this option.

You can then import your presets, by locating them on your computer. There are two ways to do this.

The first, is to select the ZIP file you originally downloaded from Tribe Archipelago when you purchased the presets/profiles.  Lightroom will automatically extract them from the zip file.

The second way, is to navigate to your ‘Settings’ folder where the presets are stored for the Lightroom Classic CC app.

If you are a Mac user you’ll find that folder here:
[Username]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Camera Raw/Settings

If you are a PC user you’ll find that folder here:

C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\Settings

Select the presets you want to import from there.

Once you have added your presets to the Lightroom CC app, you will see them included in the preset tab. In the top right corner of the LR CC app screen, there is a small ‘cloud’ icon. It should indicate ‘synced and backed up’ if everything has synched.

Next, you’ll need to open the Lightroom mobile app on your phone or tablet (or install it, if you have not yet done so). Be sure your Lightroom mobile app is up to date. Check the ‘cloud’ icon here as well, to be sure that everything has been synched. You should now be able to open an image, and see your Tribe Archipelago presets listed in the ‘presets’ tab.

As well, you’ll be able to use the profiles, in the ‘profiles’ tab. Here you will be able also adjust the ‘profile slider’ in the same way you do in the desktop version of the app.

That’s it! Now you are ready to edit with Tribe Presets & Profiles on your mobile device!
